Sample Prep and Sequencing

Sample Preparation

Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue samples provide a valuable source for genetic analysis in clinical cancer research projects. However, retrieving DNA from FFPE sample for sequencing is technically challenging. Our scientists have optimized the methodology to consistently achieve successful sequencing with highly accurate results. In addition to FFPE sample, our platform also works with frozen tissues, core needle biopsy, blood samples, circulating tumor cells (CTC), and circulating tumor DNA (ctNDA).

Next Generation Sequencing

ACT Genomics has established state-of-the-art next generation sequencing (NGS) platform. Sequencing are performed on Ion Personal Genome Machine and Ion Proton sequencers; ACT Genomics is an Ion Torrent™ Certified Service Provider. We provide an ultra-deep targeted sequencing service which covers all coding exons of 409 genes for academic, industry, and clinical partners to investigate critical biological pathways underlying cancer progression and treatment response. Complying with ISO 17025/ 15189, and CAP (College of American Pathologists) programs, we aim to meet stringent requirements from academic, industry, and clinical partners.
